Taylor Carvajal
Taylor Carvajal is the Chief Executive Officer at SVN | SFR Capital Management. Mr. Carvajal is a
senior finance executive with extensive experience in US Residential real estate, private equity,
capital markets, and finance. He has held senior executive-level positions for venture capital
and private equity, including roles as President at True Family Enterprise and Chief Financial
Officer at Amherst Holdings. He has also held senior finance positions at The Blackstone Group,
Ares Management, Goldman Sachs, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a Director in
the firm’s Global Capital Markets Group. Mr. Carvajal has spent his professional career focused
in US Real Estate, private equity, capital markets and finance.
Mr. Carvajal received a B.S. cum laude from the University of Southern California and an M.S.
from the University of Virginia. Concurrent with his professional career, he served for 10 years
as an officer in the United States Navy and is the recipient of the Bronze Star Metal for
outstanding duty performance during combat operations in Iraq. In 2010 he was selected as the
Navy Reserve Military Intelligence Junior Officer of the Year and is the recipient of the Navy and
Marine Corps Commendation and Iraq Campaign Medals. He was selected to serve as a
personal intelligence officer for Commanding Officer General David Petraeus, followed by
assignment to Force Strategic Engagements Cell (FSEC) under the command of Major General
Roderick Porter. FSEC’s mission in the region was to negotiate the cessation of armed conflict
across insurgent groups in the Middle East.
Mr. Carvajal is involved in numerous charities including the Wounded Warrior Project and the
March of Dimes.
